New Era Saddler

Angus Barrett has been developing and selling hand crafted horse and working leather goods since 1987. What originally started as a hobby has grown into a brand synonymous with quality and a successful business.

Angus Barrett handcrafts a vast array of quality leather and canvas goods and services people involved with horse and rodeo and the rural and the mining industries. Angus is extremely passionate about his trade and is a true craftsman with over eighteen years invested in creating his unique and highly sought after style.

Over the past three years, the Angus Barrett's saddlery shop in Orange NSW has become renowned for quality products for people who recognise quality and appreciate designs that are ruggedly beautiful, functional and highly durable.

Angus Barrett has spent considerable time in the USA where he worked alongside two of America's leading saddlers. As a result, Angus now brings to Orange the most stunning saddlery designs and manufacturing in Australia.

"The US trip was priceless, I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work with the likes of Randy Severe and Joey Jemison; those guys are leading the industry when it comes to western saddlery.'

Outside of work, Angus' passion is horses and he is a keen rodeo competitor. Angus says that being personally involved in the horse industry is critical to maintaining a connection and understanding for his customers' needs as they grow and evolve.

Angus has also worked in the mining industry and a large part of Angus' business involves industrial canvas work.   'I'm really proud and excited that my customers have so much faith in my locally designed and manufactured products and I look forward to supplying the industry for many years to come.'
