Description:

Angus Barrett Saddlery hand makes three different length reins 6, 7 and 8ft, they are all cut to 16mm wide.  The reins are made from Hermann Oak harness leather and are carefully selected for their natural weight.  Some reins are specially split to assist in creating the weighted feel of them.  The weight is concentrated around the bit and the tail of the rein, the centre of the rein where it is is held is thinned to create a wonderful soft dense feel.  All Angus Barrett reins are pre-oiled and ready for work, there is no need to grease or soften this leather again unless desired.  The weight on the ends of the reins will assist with how they hang on either side of the horse and how they feel when you are riding.  If you haven't ridden in Angus Barrett weighted reins then this will be a terrific and exciting experience, good reins are great to ride with.
