The Angus Barrett saddle pad is made from pure wool felt. The woolen felt breathes and absorbs moisture very efficiently. The specially designed cut-outs, which sit along the wither and spine of the horse, provide airflow and exceptional fitting. The saddle pads are made using only one piece of felt, without any stitching down the centre. This provides unrivalled strength and prevents the risk of the pad falling apart.

The Angus Barrett saddle pads come in two lengths, one to suit a larger western saddle and the other to suit a standard stock or fender saddle. There is a choice of three different thicknesses and a variety of colours.

• the 13mm saddle pad for competition and training horses; its a nice light saddle pad, which will get you extra close to the horse
• the 16mm saddle pad for everyday work in a good saddle, up and down hills, to provide a little extra comfort for your horse
• the 19mm saddle pad for those working long days in hot, hard environments, or for those who have problems with their saddle or horse rubbing; this pad will give you the most protection and lift off your horse's wither.

Angus recommends that you do not use any other type of blanket or rug under his saddle pad.  The Angus Barrett saddle pads are designed to be used on their own and if used with other material, will lose their benefits.
